Nearly 300 Coffee Products Affected

WEB Snapchill has recalled hundreds of coffee products sold under dozens of different coffee roaster names over concerns of botulinum toxin. The recall affects 242 canned coffee products manufactured by the company, including popular brands such as Intelligentsia Coffee.

Potential Botulism Risk

The recall was issued after the company was notified by a customer that a can of their coffee had exploded. Testing revealed that the can contained botulinum toxin, which can cause a serious illness known as botulism.

Botulism can cause paralysis and even death if left untreated. Symptoms of botulism can include:

• Double vision
• Difficulty swallowing
• Muscle weakness
• Nausea and vomiting
• Paralysis

If you have any of these symptoms, seek medical attention immediately.
